HCDSB currently offers an optional Early French Immersion Program beginning in Grade 1 at four school sites. Space in the program is limited - there will be a maximum of 2 classes per site.

Students must be entering Grade 1 in their September start date, in order to be eligible to participate in the Board’s Early French Immersion Program. 

Registration for the 2018-19 School Year

Online registration for the Early French Immersion program took place on Tuesday, January 16, and Wednesday, January 17, 2018. 

Update:

The random selection (lottery) process has now taken place for student placement in the (Grade 1) Early French Immersion program.

Notifications Emails:

  • Parents will have received an email to notify if their child’s name was selected through the lottery for a spot in an Early French Immersion class.
  • Parents will have received an email to notify if their child is on the waiting list, between January 25 and January 30, 2018.
  • NOTE TO PARENTS: If you did not receive an email, please contact the office at the school for which you applied.

    Acceptance:
    Parents who received notice that their child was selected for a spot in an Early French Immersion class have until Friday, February 9th to attend the school to confirm acceptance.
